Fridays are wonderful for a variety of reasons, mostly because for the majority of us they signify 48+ hours of work free life to include couch sitting, dancing, beverage drinking, and alarm clocklessness. This Friday in particular is going to be twofold wonderful. Maybe three- or fourfold wonderful, I really can’t speak to the depth of wonder your weekend will hold but I can speak to items one and two.

Item one, which the bulk of this blog will discuss, is the fucking radness that is Where The Girls Go inaugural group bike ride. Wait, future tense, the radness that will be...

Anyways, you there reading this; you should come. It’s going to be fucking radness (see above). Oh yeah, but wait: there’s more. Because it’s not just a bike ride, oh no, it’s a bike ride, with dykes! Yay! But wait there’s more: and friends of dykes! Maybe even a few dyke curious!?

I’ve loosely mapped out our route, trying to avoid the worst of DC fueled by hatred of those not also trapped in a car traffic. I’ve painted my helmet purple. I’ve...written this blog article? I've heard from CiCi that she's bringing her bike blaster to play us a sweet dance mix while we ride!

And perhaps most importantly, I’ve looked forward to seeing you there!

Since I will be seeing you there (right! right! right!?), do me a huge favor and take some preventative measures so my bar time won’t be postponed due to you having been hit by a car time.  If you will take a moment to look out your window 6pm-ish, you will notice it is dark as fuck out. So, illuminate your bike! Wear bright clothes! I'll have glow sticks (dollar store yo!) for anyone who needs some lighting. If you have a helmet, wear it. Helmet hair is sexy.

Remember, if you don't have a bike DC's bike share system is awesome! But you might want to pick-up a bike before you get to Dupont as that area is very heavily trafficked and bike shares are never guaranteed. But, there is a drop-off two blocks from Acre 121. Why do we care about Acre 121 you ask? Bam - that’s why, the second fold of wonder!  Oh yeah, Lez Invade is facilitating another queer women invasion of a straight bar. It’s going to be just like this...without the money, or the trans am, or all those dudes...
